I built The Books Club because small business owners deserve bookkeeping that actually feels good. No intimidation, no jargon — just clear, accurate books and a human on the other end who actually gets it.
My career in accounting has taken me from the halls of Ernst & Young and Deloitte to the finance teams at Amazon — giving me a deep, hands-on understanding of what good financial management looks like at every scale.
But somewhere along the way, I noticed that the businesses that needed financial expertise the most — small businesses, freelancers, founders just getting started — were the ones least likely to have access to it.
That's why I started The Books Club. To bring the same rigor and clarity I developed at top firms directly to the people building something real.
I also teach Financial and Managerial Accounting at Howard University's School of Business, which means I'm constantly sharpening my skills and staying current — so you don't have to worry about whether your bookkeeper is keeping up.
